It’s About the Journey Not the Destination

This hike was spectacular as it was rigorous. We weren’t actually sure if we were going to make it to the end point. At first I thought the hike was on a clear marked path and was going to take us a couple hour - well  I was wrong on both accounts. This high alpine lake is a Tahoe hidden gem so I’ve been sworn to secrecy about which lake it is and what path we took. But I can say that there was a lot of effort in finding it. The trail was dispersed intermittently through out our journey, so we had to bushwhack most of the way. At first I was a bit annoyed, wanting to get to our beautiful destination, but then I relaxed and enjoyed the adventure ahead. It would have been a bummer if we didn’t make it to our final destination but as they say it’s not about the destination but about the journey.
